Office Assistant
Community Futures of Greater Trail is a dynamic volunteer Board driven organization providing commercial loans and related services to the business community in the Greater Trail Region. The CF of Greater Trail is also actively involved in the promotion and implementation of Community Economic Development initiatives. Community Futures of Greater Trail provides these services with assistance from the Federal Government through Western Economic Diversification Canada.
Community Futures of Greater Trail is looking to employ a self directed team player in order to fulfill their mission, which is: to encourage and assist entrepreneurs to build successful enterprises that enhance economic prosperity, social well being and environmental integrity.
In order to deliver on this mandate, the successful applicant will be relied upon to perform all aspects of Office Administration, with a strong emphasis on bookkeeping (sound knowledge of Simply Accounting will be considered an asset), filing, minute taking, and other clerical duties.
Candidates should have a minimum of a 2-year Business Diploma and 2 years relevant experience, or a suitable combination of education and experience. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are essential.
The ideal candidate will have successfully demonstrated their ability to perform in the workplace with a high level of integrity. Intuitively, the successful applicant will have community and client values consistent with the values of the Board, Committees, and staff that currently comprise CF of Greater Trail.
This exciting opportunity is currently a casual position, but may lead to a permanent part-time position. The hourly rate for this position will range between $14.00 - $17.50/hr, dependant upon experience.

Office Assistant
Core Function: The Office Assistant position is primarily responsible for coordinating both Community Futures’ in-house activities and support work for the Lower Columbia Initiatives (LCI), including meetings, reports, and bookkeeping. The Office Assistant works closely with - and provides direct support to - the Manager and the Office Administrator regarding daily activities.
Qualifications: The individual should have a minimum of a 2-year Business Diploma and 2 years relevant experience, or a suitable combination of education and experience.
Qualified individuals should be proficient in Simply Accounting and have strong bookkeeping, filing, and interpersonal skills. In addition, the Office Assistant must have exceptional customer service skills and work well in both a group atmosphere and Board driven organization.
